Short Answers
Q: What are your skating goals, both short-term and long-term?
My short-term goals are to test all of my Pre-Gold pattern dances along with perfecting the pattern dances for this upcoming season. My long-term goals are to find a partner who has the drive and the commitment to become a formidable and steadfast team ice dancing within the Team USA envelope for many years to come.
Q: What qualities do you possess that would make you a good partner?
I respect and listen the the direction of my coaches. I love ice dancing; I am dedicated and work very hard to be successful. I have a great musicality and can adapt my feel of the music to whatever style is needed. I strive to have strong deep edgework and great unison on the ice. Playing musical instruments gives me the edge to easily find the beat and stay on the beat. I bring a sophisticated elegance and a strong sense of maturity on and off ice that is necessary to train and compete at the highest levels of ice dance. Repetition does not bother me in the least , and I enjoy learning challenging lifts. When I am not on the ice, I train three days a week at the gym focusing on strength, agility and speed. I love taking aerial yoga classes each week and continue to take ballroom, ballet and movement classes that enhance my on-ice training.
Extra comments:
I presently train weekdays alongside Senior National and International ice dancers at a four rink facility with substantial ice dedicated to high level dancers. I am inspired watching them and skating alongside them. That positive and creative environment brings out the best of my abilities when skating. For the past two years I have been training with a Senior level ice dancer testing partnered free dances through Novice, testing patterns and learning lifts while perfecting partnering skills. I can make an immediate and seamless transition to start competitive training with a partner. I am an online-schooled sophomore and an honor roll student. With my extensive schedule between school and training, I bring the needed time management skills to accomodate both successfully.
