Short Answers
Q: What are your skating goals, both short-term and long-term?
My short term goal for this year is to find a great dance partner who is hard working and good natured. Also, ending the year with a good showing at Nationals.
Long term, having chosen ice dancing as my favorite form of skating, my goal is probably the same as every serious skater; to work hard, compete and eventually win the Olympic gold.
Q: What qualities do you possess that would make you a good partner?
First of all I love skating, and want to train with a partner who feels the same. I’m totally at home on the ice, and like nothing better than competing. The tougher the competition, the better I like it! I’m hard working on the ice, and during my ballroom dancing lessons, but I also enjoy being with my friends doing other things. I smile a lot, enjoy life, and my friends say I’m super easy to get along with. Above all, I hate arguing!
Extra comments:
Both of my parents are skating coaches, and have had great competitive careers. My mom was a beautiful pair skater, and my dad skated singles. My dad, Erik Larson was the 1985 World Junior Champion, 1989-90 World Team Alternate, and won many International titles. I’m so proud and love training with them, and of course with my awesome ice dance coach, Marina Zoueva and her team.
