Short Answers
Q: What are your skating goals, both short-term and long-term?
Long term I would like to skate at the senior level in pairs or dance. I realize that finding the right partner willing to train in Illinois or Wisconsin is going to be tricky, but I don’t want to give up! I love this sport.
Q: What qualities do you possess that would make you a good partner?
I love working on and off the ice with a partner or team. I have a great sense of humor which makes skating fun, and I also know when to focus and work hard. I like taking risks and trying out new things - especially lifts and throws. Precision footwork is one of my favorite parts of skating.
I skate Symchro in addition to my pairs training, which teaches me a lot about teamwork, communication and bringing out the best in others for success on the ice.
Off the ice I’m an excellent, self-motivated student who enjoys math, science and art.
Extra comments:
I skated with a partner in the 2016 and 2017 seasons. In 2017 we were ranked 2nd nationally going into Midwesterns. Unfortunately, just before the event my partner became ill and has not been able to return to the ice.
I’ve been working with my primary coach, a jumps coach and a pairs coach ever since to keep up and improve my skills.
I am willing to commute to IL rinks for training if necessary.
